Overview
An 8-week immersive course for writers to discover the elemental forces behind your narrative. Using the Head, Heart and Body approach you will understand your characters, themes, obligatory scenes and structure of your plot— all the things you need to have a strong story plan.
The Head – your big idea, themes, genre, obligatory scenes and dig into the three levels of conflict.
The Heart – understand your characters – flaws, goals, j journeys and how they interact to drive your story.
The Body – how you plot your story – identifying the key transformation points throughout the novel so that the energy continues to rise and rise, giving your reader a satisfying journey.
Outcome:
- A story outline with all the right rising energy points to satisfy your dream reader
- A log line which proves it’s a great story
- Confidence in your novel and your ability to pull it off
A Note on The Importance of Story Craft:
Without a great story, most writers spend years and decades in the forest without finding their audience.
Hollywood Script dr, Robert Mckee says most of us can write great sentences, but very few can craft compelling stories A good idea is vital—but it’s not the whole journey. Dazzling prose won’t hold a reader if it’s not going somewhere.
The truth is many writers start with passion and intuition. They may have vivid characters, dramatic incidents, or intense opening chapters. But passion without story craft and structure often leads to pages that wander, tension that fizzles, and endings that feel unearned.
The step-by-step process will bring out the best in you and your story. You will be amazed at how much your story and characters evolve and deepen over course. A great story doesn’t just happen. It’s crafted, layer by layer—until what began as a spark becomes powerful.

Erina Reddan is an author and public speaker. Erina has a Masters Degree in Professional Writing (University of Technology Sydney) and is currently undertaking a PhD in Creative Writing (La Trobe University). She has been awarded the prestigious Walkley Award for her work as an ABC foreign correspondent.
